At the Bale Barn, all our hay is sourced from the fields of our own family farm. Our crop grounds are interspersed through the rolling hillsides of Eastern Iowa and are cut, dried, and baled into large round bales three-five times per season.
|
After baling, a percentage of the large rounds are used for the livestock on our family farms. The remainder get transported to the Bale Barn at 1193 Farley Rd in Cascade. Here we unroll the round bales and run them through our small square baler and bundler (see video to watch the process). The bundles are then moved to our warehouse to await pickup and delivery to our clients. These small squares are perfect for farmers with a limited number of livestock, horse owners, and residential property owners looking for protecting water or wind-prone areas of their lawn.
